Christy's personalized impressionist style has been influenced by many of her favorite group of seven painters.

Her beautiful and sensitive landscapes are rendered in watercolour, pastel or pencil and some, such as her conk paintings are on unique supports.

She has long been a nature enthusiast enjoying hiking, winter and summer wilderness camping, canoeing and kayaking.

Most of her work is painted plein air in response to her Absolute love of northern Ontario.

Christy has been painting the local landscape for over 15 years. She graduated from Cambrian College with a honors Visual arts diploma and has studied with Monica Swan, Jeff Miller, Brian Atyeo, Susan Lampinen, Dwayne Harty and David Beckett. She is currently a member of Sudbury Art Club 2008 and on the Sudbury Art Tour 2008.
